Attraction

Style (Neil Strauss). Posted on Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Okay, here’s how we convey each. Let’s narrow this down to FIVE or SIX essentials, with a short routine/line/defuser for each. I also think we’re missing some KEY ones.

Mystery’s List:

  • sensitive — This is conveyed in a lot of pattern talk, be it “falling in love” or “incredible connection.” How do YOU convey this Mys?
  • unique (not generic) — This is conveyed in everything we do and have learned: magic, runes, storytelling, etc.
  • sense of humour! — Any cocky/funny line works, teasing, ball-busting, and being able to TAKE a joke and laugh at yourself.
  • attractive to others (social proof) — When this can’t be done through sarging others in the environment, it can be done with a story. I like to tell the story about the HB who made out with me because she thought I was Moby. You can also talk about your IDEAL ex-girlfriend who was beautiful and perfect (artificial competition).
  • leader (of men) — Conveyed either through attitude, through other sets in club, or a story. What story? Any ideas?
  • financially self-sufficient (stable) — Yes, should be inserted into fluff talk. Important trigger for HBs. What’s a way this can be expressed without bragging?
  • potential–See AMBITION below.

Maddash’s list:

  • Ambition — This is conveyed through the way we talk about life. Our hunger for it, and where we’re going. For Mys and I, it’s part of who we are. So if anyone else here needs a routine/line for it, we can think of one.
  • Intelligence — This is the subtext behind most of our routines and everything we do. A good PUA is always one step ahead intellectually of the target. I think anyone who’s good at the game conveys this automatically: myself, Mys, IN10SE, etc. Again, if anyone needs a routine/line for this, we’ll think of one.
  • Sense of adventure — Again, this is part of who I am. I convey it in a story that I tell after the 26,000 days pattern. It’s about how every year I take a month or two off, cut off phone and email access, and just travel and experience life. And you know what you learn? A. That the world can get along fine without you. And B. That when you return, everyone thinks you’ve been off doing something important, so you’re better off than when you left. This is just a story, though I’m sure it could be turned into a pattern. Creativity — Again, that’s part of who Mys and I are. I think we convey it with our stories, gimmicks, and “right brain” discussion.
  • Secure — Is this financially secure? Or secure as in “confident”?
  • Self-assuredness — This is conveyed in the way you speak and hold yourself, in not being afraid to take up space in the world, in cocky/funny, in even being a little arrogant with lines like “name three qualities that would make me want to get to know you better.”

DeepBlue’s list:

  • interesting — yes, very important. See INTELLIGENCE reply.
  • exciting — Good criteria. More than adventurous, it’s that you’re exciting to be around. IF YOU CAN MAKE AN HB FEEL EMOTION OR ADRENALINE AROUND YOU, she is yours. How can we do this? Give her a red bull, lol.
  • self-assured, calm, confident — See self-assured above
  • assertive, firm, strong — Yes, let’s come up with a short story (I think Maddash has one) about ejecting someone from our life for f-ing up. I have one that just happened that I may start using. Make it clear “zero-tolerance” policy.
  • decisive — Yes. ALWAYS have an opinion and decision and plan. In all cases! VERY important. I like to order drinks and food for girls (not pay, but tell the waiter/bartender what they’re having). Sometimes I don’t even ask., And sometimes, when they pay by credit card, I take the bill and sign their name. LOL.
  • adventurous == See ABOVE
  • daring, bold == combines “adventurous” and “decisive.”
  • exudes sense of being desired == Yes. Social proof only works if HBs are approaching you, NOT if you’re approaching HBs. I mean, you can approach HBs still but they have to be visibly charmed by your presence. What are ways to do this in a STORY?
  • compassionate, caring — See Sensitive. Is there a good story for this?
  • tender, sensitive when appropriate — See Sensitive above. Also conveyed in kino: you “protect” her space if someone walks by. You steer her around corners.
  • playful, sense of humor — See Humor above
  • happy, joyful, enthusiastic — Yes, important; makes HBs feel comfortable. Is in attitude–that is, UNTIL phase shift.
  • imaginative, creative — See CREATIVE above
  • sensual, strong appreciation of all things sensory — How is this conveyed?
  • sexy (voice, eyes, touch) — Yes, good eye contact; strong, firm touch that makes her tingle; good, clear, authoratitve tonality
  • passionate, deeply immersed in the moment — Yes, develop PASSIONATE answers to fluff and what you do. Say it intensely. VERY important. In fact, I want to come up with a routine where I talk about something very generic that I care PASSIONATELY about. I notice that if you talk with PASSION about anything for a while, and just hold the floor, an HB will trance out and just watch your lips and want to kiss you. We should all develop just a routine with no direct ulterior motive about something we’re passionate about. As for the second part of this “deeply immersed in moment,” I think you NEED to be here to sarge and a lot of our patterns try to bring the HB here (26,000 days, don’t think/feel, etc.)
